Our client a successful Lean Manufacturer based in Leitrim is currently seeking to hire a Qualified Financial Accountant to join their team. This role is heavily involved in weekly/monthly accounts preparation to tight deadlines. You must be commercially oriented and ideally, come from a manufacturing background. Responsibilities. Preparation/review of weekly accounts, ensuring the provision of timely accurate data. Preparation of weekly forecasts and comment on any changes in trading performance. Preparation and submission of monthly accounts. Investigation and explanation of variances against predefined standards. Preparation of ad hoc costing and scenario analysis as requested by Production Management. He/She will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and employee involvement in critical success areas by utilising lean manufacturing tools and techniques and working together with the site's Lean Project Teams looking at all facets of the business. He/She will ensure group financial control policies are adhered to within the site. Required Qualifications: Have a recognised accountancy qualification. Be proficient in Excel to an advanced level. Have excellent organisational and time management skills. Have excellent communication skills. Ideally, have experience in managing the activities of the main accounts in a medium to large size company. Experience in month-end accounts preparation to tight deadlines.
