What you need to know. You will work as a Process Engineer for our client, a highly successful and well-established manufacturing company in Co. Roscommon . As the Process Engineer you will be be responsible for the process design, operation and implementation. The successful candidate will be able to improve industrial processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximise profitability. This is a permanent job. The salary is €55k. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Develop, optimise and validate new product manufacturing processes and improve existing process. Coordinate with design department to support the product design process. Work with your team in the development of manufacturing processes with focus on quality and efficiency in accordance with the quality system to the requirements of ISO 13485 and FDA21CFR. Support the development of Bills of Material (BOMs) and routing as part of definition of the final manufacturing process. Provide leadership as required on technical challenges and advocate that all engineers follow a standardised approach to issue resolution. Lead initial validations to ensure that appropriate process operating windows are established resulting in a robust manufacturing process. Work with suppliers to identify enhancements in the market. What are we looking for? 3rd Level Qualification in Mechanical Engineering/Material/Science discipline. A minimum of 5 years’ process development experience ideally in medical Devices/allied industry. Subject Matter Expert on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and process improvement techniques (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.). Experience of process validation and project management would be an advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment. Desirable. Strong Extrusion background is essential.
